Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actor and producer. She has been recognized for her exceptional roles in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Piano, as well as The Incredibles. The film Piano was awarded an Oscar. She began her career as an actress on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. Since the time she was in school, she portrayed Helen Keller in a play in the fifth grade. The mumps caused her to lose hearing in one her ears, but this didn't stop the actress from pursuing her dream. She was a drama major at the college before moving to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania to New York City to follow her dream. Hunter was introduced to Beth Henley by chance in the lift. Together, they wrote Broadway Crimes of the Heart. This was Hunter's acting debut. The first time she appeared in a film was after she relocated in Los Angeles. Her work spans over 30 years and she's appeared in many TV movies as well as series and films. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was also awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
