Even Rolling Stone named it as one of the top songs of 2015. This same year, she also released Know It All. Scars to Your Beautiful is one of the five songs she wrote that made it to Billboard's chart. This particular track was special due to her interview with the Rap-Up show, many fans were inspired by her story through self-doubt and discovering how to be a better person. Cara is well-known for her ability to incorporate songs about mental health, kindness and self-love into her songs. She's been in the midst of anxiety and insomnia that has influenced her music. In an interview with Reuters she described her album as "half turbulent" as well as "half complete". She tells people that she discovered her development in therapy. Alessia Cara has been a Canadian artist since 1996. Her parents are of Italian heritage. In 2010, her parents gave her a brand-new guitar, which she used to develop her passion for music. 2013 was the year she recorded the songs she loved for YouTube which is a well-known platform for media. This was to demonstrate that she had the talent and confidence to become an artist. One of the songs Sweater Weather ended up getting her noticed by a label known as EP Entertainment which allowed her to write and create her tracks.
